I have a flat, non-white head pimple between my eyebrows that I tried popping last night. I've had that pimple for a while so I thought I'd try to get rid of it. I tried popping it, but nothing really came out, and it started to bleed a little bit (keyword: little). Then put on a benzyol peroxide cream. Right now, it's very red and irritated, but the pimple has gone down in size. Should I put on more benzyol peroxide cream to get rid of it completely but run the risk of severely irritating it? Any advice for learning sheet music (standard notation) for the guitar?

I am playing the guitar and have been for 3 years. I also have been playing the flute, so I know how to read treble clef music. I started getting more serious with the guitar and I am proceeding to learn how to read standard notation. I know my scales C, G, and D. I'm also currently learning the A and E scales. I know how to do the scales physically but the only notes I know are the beginning notes and the ending notes. I am having a hard time corresponding the frets to the notes on the music staff. Man in the Mirror on piano help!?

A little while ago I told a good friend of mine that I would help him learn how to play Man in the Mirror on the piano by Michael Jackson. He keeps wanting to practice it and I really want to help him but I've been holding back because I'm confused about something. All throughout the song it has the verse notes and then the melody notes but in the beginning it doesn't have any bass clef notes. I've been playing the piano for ten years but it is exceptionally hard to play treble clef notes with your left hand. I got a squier fender electric guitar for christmas of 2010 and I had about 4 lessons to get things started. I have a really nice guitar book that my teacher at the time liked. I know how to read tabliture now (not very fast at it but i'm getting there). I taught myself how to play ukulele (there is still a ton I don't know). I also have been playing trombone for 5 years now so I have musical experience. I can read treble and bass clef (i know bass doesn't apply to guitar) and rhythms so that isn't a problem. Does anyone know some good DVDs or channels on youtube to help teach some things? I've started out learning some simple chords but I want to get into riffs and hammerons. I just want to learn songs, no scales or anything (not looking to get serious, just have fun). And can anyone give me a list of things to learn in order. If you just memorize and learn your notes it's quite easy. A beginner cello should cost any where from $300-$400. As for size it really depends on your size. So I have been playing piano for roughly...5 years, but I play by ear. When I got my first piano teacher, she wasn't strict enough and never really made me memorize notes, so now, 5 years later, I can't read notes very well at all, especially on the bass clef. Four flats at beginning of sheet music?

I currently want to learn this song on piano, and I have the sheet music. I can read music fairly well since music was a subject to be taught from Kinder- Year 8, but we never learnt what to do when there are flats or sharps after the treble clef at the beginning of the song. im a lifeguard, well allmost. I have to pass one more test which is a long swim in the open water. The swim is 500 yards and i can do it in a pool EASY, but yesterday i tried it in the open water, i barely made 2 yards. When i swim freestyle in the ocean, i dont see anything, my eyes hurt, i constantly change direction, and the waves keep hitting me and messing up my breathing. Why are there chord letters above my Piano sheet music?

Guitar chords and piano chords are the same. You can just play chords instead of the notes but I play the chord and the notes. I would really need to see the music to explain it to you, but sometimes I play more notes than what the sheet music shows. If it has only melody note, I sometimes play 4 notes, the melody note plus the note an octave higher, then I add in-between notes that would be part of the chord.

I agree with Anthony's answer except for 5. Professional musicians almost never use tab. If you get a gig that requires reading its gonna be standard notation. And your ability to read treble clef will help you learn to read bass clef more easily; you already know how to read rhythm and count, so all you really need to do is to learn to match the staff notation to pitches. Hint: to read bass clef, pretend the note you are seeing is one line or space up. For example the lowest line on bass clef is G, which is the line below G on treble clef. And the lowest space on bass clef is A, which is the space below A on treble clef.

Whenever you perform a piece with your school orchestra, do the kind of research a conductor needs to do on a piece - study the background of the piece, its historical context and so on. Ask your conductor if you can study the score of whatever you're doing so you can get a feel for how the parts fit together. Start learning how to deal with transposing instruments and be able to switch back and forth between concert pitch and what's in the part.

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school next year, and I'm switching schools from a different state. At my old school I had a 3.66 Cumulative GPA, which would have been about 3.8 if it weren't for Q2 because I got a C, but I can't change that now. How to increase your sight reading ability?

Hey, so I've played piano for about 5 years now, I can sight read violin (played for 8 years) like a beast, and can sight-read tenor part like a beast. Haha, not bragging... just saying I've got that down. Anywho, in piano, I feel like I've gotten rather good at emotion and all that jazz, but I feel like the only thing holding me back is my sight reading in piano! Putting both of the clefs together! It takes me a while to learn a piece, and most of the time I just memorize the part and practice it over and over till it's ingrained in the early stages. I would like to be able to just play through music! My teacher said you just have to literally do that--just run through music. Can anyone add to this? I'm looking at a piece of sheet music, and I have a few questions about the key signature. There is one flat, so I obviously play a B flat. HOWEVER! Does that mean I play sharps also? And on my piece there is sharp sign in parenthesis before a note, does that mean I play it sharp until I see another sign ( ie. natural, flat)?

Good Fantasy/Romance Anime?

Utena Tenjou is one of my favorite. Its romance and comedy. Plus they have a cute little monkey pet in there named momo and at the end of every book/episode he has his own cute little minisode. Great on action and fantasy as well. Another one is Fruits Basket. It deals with the animals of the zodiac and there is a family called the shomo family who all have mystical powers and transform into these animals. My favorite is the cat because they tell the story of how the cat chinese zodiac was tricked into not comming to the banquet so he was never really put into the zodiac but he still has the chance to redeem himself. It also centers around a girl who is in a love triangle with the cat and the rat so its also comedy being that they are natural rival enemies. Definatley those 2 series are my favorite.

I play bari sax and bassoon, so I can read bass and treble clef. (I'm learning tenor clef) I am very* passionate about music and would like to expand on my musical ability. I can buzz on a trumpet mouthpiece pretty well, but I've never actually tried brass or flute. So I have been playing piano for roughly...5 years, but I play by ear. Free verse. A sonnet has a specific meter and every other line rhymes...at least in elizabethan sonnets. It would also have a couplet at the end if it were a sonnet. Either way, this is definitely free verse because it has little to no "structure" or consistancy.

How Can I Get All This Hair Out Of My Necklace?

I got a squier fender electric guitar for christmas of 2010 and I had about 4 lessons to get things started. I have a really nice guitar book that my teacher at the time liked. I just want to learn songs, no scales or anything (not looking to get serious, just have fun). And can anyone give me a list of things to learn in order. Is this weird (question about piano playing esp. in the left hand)?

Okay i am a right handed piano player and have a weird problem about improvising / song writing on the piano. Like I play the notes very well i think and come up with some pretty creative notes and even progressions or whatnot. But i have a problem with trying to make the rhythm and such. Like you know how songs play like an eighth note in the treble clef and then a quarter note, and they play like a half note in the bass? My spanish teacher is hitting on me!?

And I think its kinda weird because this teacher is supposed to be gay. He stops me every time we see each other in the hallway and asks about my life, which doesn't bother me, but he can get kinda creepy at times. Like this one time he asked me what I was doing over summer break and I told him I was going to my family's beach house and he was like "oh, that's cool! You should send me some pics!" Another time my spanish class went on a field trip to see a play and my bff and I had to sit across from him. When my bff fell asleep he started talking to me and after a while he told me he couldn't hear me so I should sit in his seat. i went and talked to him, and while we were talking he kept looking down at my skirt. He eventually caught on that I saw him looking and told me that my skirt was very beautiful and sexy. Then he started touching it and that got kinda awkward. The next year, he chose only my class to go on an overnight trip and he did a room check every night. But all the kids in the class and my friends I roomed with for the trip have told me that ours was the only room he went in. And he happened to come in while I was taking a shower, so he opened the bathroom door to ask if it was really me and to make sure I wasn't off in another room. In class he looks over all of the students shoulders at their work, but he always touches my shoulders, arms, and back when he looks at my work. Other teachers and students tell me he never stops talking about me. I guess he is just trying to be friendly and make a friend because all of the students think he's weird and won't talk to him. How should I get across to him that he needs to tone down the flirting but still sound nice? I don't want to come off as rude...

I can play guitar but I am having trouble singing lyrics over the songs. What is the best way to teach myself?

what I do with my piano playing is I just learn the song on the piano until I can play it with out thinking about it because my hands get used to the movements. then I learn the lyrics of by heart. then I put the two together slowly verse by verse. I practise one verse at a time and just link them together. it can take anywhere between 3 weeks to 3 months for me to be able to do that. it depends on the difficulty of the piano. this works for me but it may not work for you. sorry if I didn't really help... just keep on practising and practising and you will soon get there.

Transcribing a work from fly-speck manuscript (yup - that Kernis work from Schirmer Print-on-demand . . ) and cannot for the life of me get notes alternating between the hands, between two clefs, to be on the same beam! Don't worry about it. I would first play the lower notes with your right hand and figure out what notes they are. You are right that most songs have a bass and treble clef but in this case with two treble, both of your hands are simply going to be higher on the piano. After you figure out what notes they are, try transferring those notes to your left hand. It's difficult but you can do it :)

If you just memorize and learn your notes it's quite easy. A beginner cello should cost any where from $300-$400. As for size it really depends on your size. Generally, taller and bigger people get 4/4 (full size). The smaller you are, the smaller cello you get. So it would be wise for you to go to a shop and see what size you are. Hope that helps!

It states "redirect" in the tab bar and then goes to a different site. Hip tattoos can hurt. my rib cage piece hurt like a mutha and it stretched to the hip. If its smallish anyone can take that pain. My tramp stamp didn't hurt really at all (not too bad right in the middle is the worst). The color shouldn't matter its based on the type of needle, coloring uses a bigger and wider set of needles for shading and such. Its a toss up fro me on that issue.
