How to modify a php script by replacing an affiliate program with another, how would i go about this?

The script displays items based on keywords from an affiliate program and I want to simply change out which program it pulls products from. I'm not sure if I would just need to change database or if multiple files would need updated to make it work? Any help or input is greatly appreciated!
