Are thought and cognition the same? Can the human brain process two separate cognitions simultaneously?
If I am counting something is that thought/cognition or what? Can the human brain process two cognitions simultaneously? I tried to count two separate oscillating springs with different frequencies at the same time but could not do it. I can easily read two music clefs and play the piano with two hands but I think this performing two separate activities quickly that appears simultaneous. A cognitive dissonance is two separate cognitions causing a dissonance. This is a case of processing two separate cognitions. A belief in God with constant contradicting fact to the existence of a God is two separate cognitions putting the brain in constant cognitive dissonance. If I practice can I count two separate oscillating frequencies simultaneously and experience cognitive dissonance? Thanks
