What is the clef used for harpsichords?

I would like to find out which clef (treble or bass) the harpsichord uses. But since the harpsichord is a keyboard instrument, should I also assume that it uses both clefs? Further more, I would like to know the harpsichord's octave difference and range in comparison with the piano.
